CNC Setter / Operator – Turner / Lathe

I am currently looking for skilled CNC Setter / Operator to join a Northampton based engineering company, who produce machined parts for the automotive industry. The position will involve setting and operating CNC Lathes and producing machined parts, whilst ensuring the quality of the parts is up to the required standard. Over time you will also develop knowledge of programming as the role involves program alterations as and where necessary, with training being provided for this

Duties:

• Setting & operating a variety of machines that are Fanuc, Mitsubishi and Siemens controlled
• Checking the quality of the product being produced
• Ensuring the machines are running smoothly
• Working with the team to ensure times scales are adhered to

Package:

In return for your enthusiasm, you will be offered a fantastic salary and realistic opportunities for personal and professional development, as outlined below in a clearly defined plan. They are divided in to 3 classes of candidate with the associated hourly rate:

A – Highly experienced and competent CNC Setter / Operator who can supervise, train and completely run the machines would be on £11.24 per hour standard, £14.98 overtime weekday and £16.86 for overtime during the weekend

B – Skilled CNC Setter / Operator who can run the machines and change all tooling, set machines, check programmes etc. under supervision would be on £9.60 per hour standard, £12.80 per hour overtime weekday and £14.40 overtime during the weekend

C – Entry Level Skilled CNC Setter / Operator who can input raw material, run the process and check the quality of the end product to ensure it is up to the required standard. This level of candidate will be on £8.17 per hour standard, £10.89 per hour overtime weekday and £12.25 per hour overtime weekend.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in both setting AND operating CNC lathes and be willing to learn and progress within the role.
