Job: Applications Support Analyst

  I am currently looking for an Applications Support Analyst to join a well-established, yet rapidly expanding software & applications company at their brand-new site, incorporating private parking with green surroundings and an award-winning building.

The client has been going for over 20 years and represents some highly prestigious clients, possessing multi-million-pound contracts.

Due to the increase in contracts, they are currently expanding their team and are taking on multiple Application Support Analysts at various levels of experience from graduates to highly experienced candidates.

The main focus of the client is on personal and professional development, as well as an improved work/life balance and flexible working in a relaxed environment.

Due to the growth and structure of the company, opportunities for rapid career progression are available and full training & development are key areas that the client focuses on.

The position involves:

• Documenting and managing the developments of enhancements to the software, driven by client change requests
• Communicating with the client both in face-to-face and email formats to discuss change requirements in order to propose and implement solutions
• Managing the day-to-day development activities of assigned changes within a specified release and communicating with the client on these changes in daily stand-up calls
• Becoming an SME (Subject Matter Expert) of the Software

Key requirements of the candidate:

• Excellent Command of the English Language, both Written & Verbal
• An understanding of SaaS-based Software and Web Technology
• A Basic understanding of MySQL and Data Storage/Retrieval Techniques
• An Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences on both a high and granular level

For this, successful candidates will receive a starting salary of between £20k – £35k, depending on experience, as well as structured plans for career progression and regular salary reviews. This client may also offer flexibility over candidates struggling with childcare issues and can provide a company phone and laptop if required.
