Due to the continued growth, our client needs an experienced Yard Coordinator.
Duties involve:
Being responsible for all activities within the Yard.
Planning for the loading/unloading of all Transport.
Picking all goods for despatch including completion of pick lists
Checking incoming & outgoing shipments & ensuring all loads are photographed before despatch & GRNÂ’s/GDNÂ’s are fully completed via computerised system.
You will be based outside in the yard for the majority of the time and the relevant protective clothing will be provided. This role also involves working at height from time to time in varying conditions both inside and out.
Adhering to companies H & S policies and procedures and be focused on Health and Safety at all times.
Other duties involve general good housekeeping of the large yard and workshop and from time to time some basic mechanical fitting, cleaning, labouring and painting, so a “hands on” is essential.
The Person:
Used to working outside for the majority of the working day in all weather conditions. (Appropriate work wear provided)
You will be self-motivated and work unsupervised. You must have the ability to work on your own initiative.
Be at team player and be prepared to get involved and have a positive attitude.
You will be numerate, literate and have good PC skills and be physically capable & ensure you work in a safe manner at all times.
Fork lift licence is essential, 5 tonne counterbalance preferably.
Must be prepared to work overtime as and when required.
