Scope of role:
– All electrical activities involved in equipment preparation, repair and refurbishment
– Panel wiring & machine wiring, fault-finding and repair
– Planning and ordering materials
– Control and update of electrical drawings
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
– Time-served electrical fitter or electrician or electrical engineer
– Qualified with C&G; or equivalent in Electrical Installation
– Significant panel wiring & machine wiring experience
– Significant fault-finding & repair experience on panel & machine wiring
– Single & 3 phase experience
– Capable of designing & making modifications
The following additional skills would be beneficial
– Knowledge of hoists either from a Workshop or Installation background
– Basic mechanical fitting
– 16th edition or 17th edition
Required attributes:
– Positive, can-do, flexible and adaptable attitude
– Thoroughness and attention to detail
– Self-motivated with plenty of drive to work unsupervised in small team environment
– Prepared to work overtime as needed
– Involves working at height, and in varying conditions, indoors and out
Standard terms:
– 42.5 hr week, Mon-Fri, 8-5
– Overtime premiums Tx1.5 Weekdays & Saturdays
– Holidays – 20 days 1st yr, 25 days 2nd yr, more with service
