Leading automotive manufacturer require an experience Quality Engineer.
Purpose of Job
The purpose of the role is to ensure that product conformance is maintained and effective quality control within the operating cells is achieved. The responsibility of the Quality Engineer will cover the entire supply chain, from supplied parts to MPT through to delivered components at the customer.
Support for supplier selection, supplier monitoring and supplier development, as well as driving continuous improvement activities with the cell are also encompassed in the role
Qualifications
A Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline is essential
Quality Auditing (Lead Assessor) qualification is desirable although training can be provided to otherwise suitable candidates
Currently studying or have achieved Institute of Quality Assurance membership examinations
Experience
A minimum of 3 years experience gained within a similar role within an automotive environment is essential covering Advanced Quality Planning (AQP) and Quality Auditing (QA)
Experience of Statistical Process Control (SPC) is desirable although training can be provided to otherwise suitable candidates
